Qualifications

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety; depression; relationship challenges; difficulties with adjustment; sexuality and gender identity; grief and loss; body image issues and eating disorders.

I bring experience to my work with LGBTTQQ2SIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, 2 spirit, intersex and asexual) people and healing from the systemic violence and difficult interpersonal experiences that can affect individuals within these communities.

My experience also includes working with clients from various racial and ethnocultural backgrounds negotiating the stressors of (multi)cultural and intersectional identities, academic and professional life, and competing personal and community  responsibilities and expectations.

I have a Doctorate of Education in Counselling Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto where my research focused on the counselling and psychotherapy experiences of queer South Asian-Canadians.

I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
